Privacy Policy

1. Scope and company

Trinect LLC is a limited liability company organized in New Jersey, United States. This policy applies to Trinect.org, the Trinect newsletter, communications with Trinect, and any service that links directly to this policy. A future product may publish a supplemental privacy notice before it collects product-specific information.

2. Information you provide

• Newsletter information: the email address you submit, the first name you choose to give, the topics you pick, whether you are subscribed, and which letters we have sent you.
• Communications and support information you choose to include when contacting us.
• Call bookings made through our Calendly page: your name, email, the time you pick, and anything you choose to add about the call. We use them only to hold and prepare for the call.
• Job applications submitted through trinect.org/careers: your name, email, and the phone number, location, profile links, resume, education, work-authorization answer, and other answers you choose to provide. We use them only to evaluate you for the role, and for other roles only if you opt in to being contacted.
• If you are hired: the identity and work-authorization information on your Form I-9, which federal law requires every US employer to collect. We use it only to meet that requirement.
• Feedback, survey responses, files, or other material you choose to provide through a future feature covered by this policy.
• Transaction or account information only if a future service clearly requests it and provides any additional notice required at that time.

3. Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security infrastructure may process IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, request identifiers, performance information, and diagnostic or security logs.

Only if you accept analytics in the cookie settings, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights collect pages viewed, referring site, country, browser and device type, and page-performance timings. They set no cookies, do not track you across sites, and give us aggregated reports. If you reject analytics, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, they do not load. The site does not use a third-party advertising network.

4. Age confirmation

The newsletter signup asks you to confirm that you are at least 13. The confirmation is checked when the request is submitted, but Trinect does not store your age, date of birth, or the confirmation in the subscriber database.

5. How we use information

• Send the newsletter, written for the name and topics you give us, and other requested company, product, launch, and early-access communications.
• Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and services.
• Respond to questions, feedback, legal requests, and support matters.
• Prevent spam, fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our policies.
• Understand aggregate service performance and plan product development.
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights and comply with applicable obligations.

6. Legal bases where applicable

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide a service you request, based on your consent, for legitimate interests such as security and product operation that are not overridden by your rights, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

7. How information is disclosed

Trinect does not sell personal information. Trinect does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not disclose the newsletter list to unrelated companies for their own marketing.

• Service providers that process information for Trinect, including Supabase for newsletter-subscriber and job-application database and file storage, our email provider for delivering the newsletter, Calendly for booking calls, and Vercel for website hosting, request infrastructure, scheduled newsletter sending, and consent-based analytics.
• Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or contractors who need information to provide services and are subject to appropriate obligations.
• Government authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of a service.
• A buyer, successor, or participant in a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the relevant business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses strictly necessary storage, including a first-party cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and technical storage or request identifiers our host needs for security, routing, and reliable delivery. Analytics load only after you accept them in the cookie banner or cookie settings, and you can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. The site does not set advertising cookies. The Cookie Policy at trinect.org/cookies describes this in more detail.

9. Storage and international transfers

Supabase stores newsletter subscribers and job applications, including resumes, our email provider delivers the newsletter, Calendly holds call bookings, and Vercel processes website traffic, operational logs, and consent-based analytics. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Where required, Trinect will use recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards.

10. Retention

We retain a newsletter subscriber’s email, first name, topics, and delivery records until you ask us to delete them or the newsletter ends. If you unsubscribe, we keep the address only as a record that you should not receive the newsletter, unless you ask us to delete it. We retain a job application and resume for up to 2 years after the role closes, or until you ask us to delete it, unless you are hired or the law requires a longer period. Communications are kept as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Technical logs are retained according to provider settings, security needs, and applicable requirements. Information may be retained longer when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. The newsletter signup endpoint uses limited Supabase credentials and narrow, secret-gated database functions; only the scheduled sending job holds the separate key that can read the subscriber list. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. You may unsubscribe from marketing or product updates at any time, either through the unsubscribe link in any update we send or by emailing us. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may retain information where an exception applies.

Submit a privacy request to legal@trinect.org. You may also contact the privacy or data-protection authority in your jurisdiction where that right applies.

13. Deleting your data

To remove your email from the newsletter and delete what we hold about you, email legal@trinect.org from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my data.” We confirm the request by replying to that address, delete the subscriber record, its delivery records, and related correspondence within 30 days, and tell you when it is done. Copies in provider backups expire on the provider’s schedule. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as a record that you asked us not to contact you again.

To delete an account or data in LabSpace or PunchMan, use the deletion instructions in that product’s privacy policy.

14. United States privacy disclosures

Trinect does not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. If a state privacy law applies to Trinect and grants additional rights, we will honor verified requests as required. We will not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

15. Children under 13

The site and newsletter are intended for people age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we received personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

16. Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy. Review those notices before providing information to a third party.

17. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Trinect and its services develop. The date at the top identifies the current version. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to legal@trinect.org.
