Use this process to report suspected misuse of a Trinect service, intellectual-property concerns, unlawful material, impersonation, phishing, or security issues.

Last updated October 9, 2026

1. What to report

  • Phishing, impersonation, fraud, spam, or unauthorized use of a Trinect name or service.
  • Content or conduct that may violate the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights concerns.
  • A suspected vulnerability, exposed credential, data disclosure, or other security issue.

2. Information to include

Identify the relevant page, URL, product, account, message, or material; describe what happened and when; explain why you believe it violates a policy or right; and provide a reliable way to contact you. Include screenshots, headers, or other evidence when useful, but remove passwords, private keys, government identifiers, financial information, and unrelated personal data.

3. Intellectual-property notices

A rights complaint should identify the protected work or mark, the material at issue and its location, the basis of your claim, your contact information, and your authority to act. Include statements of good-faith belief and accuracy where applicable. We may request verification or additional information.

4. Security reports

Do not publicly disclose an uncorrected vulnerability or access data beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the issue. Do not disrupt services, use social engineering, access another person’s information, or demand payment as a condition of withholding harmful disclosure. Preserve evidence and report the issue promptly.

5. Review and action

Trinect will review credible reports and may request more information, restrict access, remove material, preserve records, notify affected parties, or refer a matter to a provider or authority. We may not be able to disclose the result of an investigation when doing so would compromise privacy, security, legal obligations, or another investigation.

6. Contact

Send reports to legal@trinect.org. If there is an immediate threat to life or physical safety, contact local emergency services first.
